Bequests
You can make a bequest to the Segal Centre in your will with:
- A specific dollar amount or a percentage of your trust.
- A residual bequest: after debts, taxes and bequests have been paid to your family and friends, the Segal Centre receives all or a portion of the remainder of your estate.
- A contingent bequest: this comes into effect only when the primary beneficiary(ies) of your estate have predeceased you.
- Gifts can be made of publicly traded securities.
- Gifts can also be designated from life insurance plans, RRSPs, and TSFAs (or the American equivalent of these retirement saving tools).
Bequests entitle your estate to a donation receipt. We encourage you to consult your financial advisor, notary, or legal advisor to learn about the financial advantages that apply to your specific situation.
Your generosity will ensure that the curtain rises for generations to come at our cultural cornerstone of Montreal, the Segal Centre.
