How do you speak your mind when you can’t say a word?
Shh... Hear that? When was the last time you experienced complete silence? In a world of constant chatter, how long would you be able to stop talking? In Bess Wohl’s Small Mouth Sounds, six unlikely wanderers fleeing city life embark on a silent retreat and discover just how hard it can be to keep their mouths shut. Filled with awkward and insightful humour, this unique and compassionate new play asks how we address life’s biggest questions when words fail us.

LISA'S NOTE

If you’re like me, you’re constantly on the go and dreaming of the next time you’ll be able to take a break. This quiet and surprising gem of a show gives you a hilarious glimpse at what it might be like to go on a meditation retreat. I think I’ll stick to a night out at the theatre to unwind! Prepare yourself for your cheeks to hurt from smiling!
