Il y a quelque chose de très unique et émouvant dans la forme interactive que prend le spectacle solo Every Brilliant Thing. Cette édition virtuelle d'Un dimanche au Segal rassemblera un panel de comédiens ayant par le passé interprété le rôle du Narrateur (ou Elle/Lui) de la pièce. Les panélistes discuteront entre autres de leur interprétation personnelle de ce spectacle solo. Découvrez pourquoi Every Brilliant Thing a touché le coeur de tant de gens, en explorant la manière dont l'expérience personnelle de chacun des comédiens guide la façon dont la pièce et son personnage principal sont reçus par les membres du public. Nous sommes ravis d'accueillir : Jenna-Lee Hyde (Narratrice au Burnt Thicket Theatre, Live Five, Fire Exit Theatre, Globe Theatre), Dawn Petten (Narratrice au Belfry Theatre), Steve Ross (Narrateur au New Stages), John Ullyatt (Narrateur au Citadel Theatre), et Daniel Brochu (Segal Centre). Notre animatrice de la saison 2021-2022, Sarah Deshaies (radio CJAD), agira à titre de modératrice avec toute sa perspicacité et ses remarques judicieuses qui lui valent son style bien à elle.

Jenna Lee Hyde 
Jenna-Lee is a prairie born-and-raised actor and artist living in Toronto. Select theatre credits include: Every Brilliant Thing (Burnt Thicket Theatre, Live Five, Fire Exit Theatre, Globe Theatre), Molly Bloom (Fourth Gorgon Theatre / Toronto Fringe, NAC #canadaperforms), Our Town (Theatre Rusticle / Buddies in Bad Times), Drowning Girls (Globe Theatre), Much Ado About Nothing, Taming of the Shrew (Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan). Dawn Petten
Dawn is an actor who works and lives on the ancestral, unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations in Vancouver. Dawn performed Every Brilliant Thing at the beloved Belfry Theatre in Victoria, BC (directed by Estelle Shook), just before COVID shut down our stages and before she could tour the show to Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops. Dawn is a multiple Jessie Richardson Award nominee and winner. Favourite productions include Tear the Curtain!; A Doll’s House; as well as a number of seasons at Bard on the Beach, numerous shows at Caravan Farm Theatre, and many years with Theatre Replacement’s East Van Panto (another rendition of which she goes into rehearsal for in a of couple weeks). #1 on Dawn’s Brilliant List: the dance moves of her 4-year-old daughter.

John Ullyat
John Ullyatt (UH-lee-it) (he/him/his/il/lui) is a native Montrealer who makes his home in Edmonton. John played Nicky Arnstein in Funny Girl at the Segal Centre. He performed Every Brilliant Thing at the Citadel Theatre right before the beginning of the pandemic. He’s worked at many theatres across the country from Victoria to Montreal and is co-founder of Firefly Theatre & Circus. He is a notable street performer whose works have travelled to Japan, Ireland, and all over Canada. Over the past year and a half, he has become Head Distiller at Lone Pine Distilling in Edmonton.
