The World Goes ‘Round is a musical revue that amasses material from the first twenty-six years of collaboration between two American musical theatre giants — John Kander and Fred Ebb! The World Goes ‘Round gives the audience a glimpse into their musical world; balancing standards like “Cabaret,” “Maybe This Time,” and the Theme from “New York, New York” with other material perhaps not as well known. Songs from the early days of their collaboration — “Sara Lee.” Songs that are personal favorites (John: “A Quiet Thing,” Fred: “The World Goes ‘Round”). Songs that aren’t heard often enough — “Sometimes a Day Goes By” and “I Don’t Remember You.” Songs you’re surprised to learn they wrote — “My Coloring Book.” New takes on old favourites and unexpected twists and turns at every corner, The World Goes ‘Round is a seamless musical roller-coaster ride from beginning to end.
The World Goes ’Round is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
