The Times They Are A Changin’ is a concert spectacular celebrating some of the greatest Jewish musicians in history including Bob Dylan, Mama Cass, Simon and Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen, and Carole King. This Sunday @ the Segal panel will take a look at how these artists, who's work gave voice a generation, have withstood the test of time. We will explore how and why this music continues to touch people of all ages and how we continue to find new relevance in it today.

Sarah Deshaies

Sarah Deshaies is a radio producer, host and theatre critic based in Montreal. She currently produces the Andrew Carter Morning Show on CJAD 800, and co-hosts CKUT's theatre program, Upstage, where, for the last decade, she has interviewed actors, directors and other artists from all around the world. Sarah's writing on Montreal theatre has been published in the Montreal Gazette and Cult Montreal. Her love for theatre was kindled at the Segal Centre, where she once played a tree in a children's drama program and started seeing grownups plays with her mom. Bernard Perusse

Bernard Perusse began covering arts for the Montreal Gazette in 2002, becoming the paper’s full-time music critic in 2011 until he left the paper two years later. Since his departure, he has continued to do some freelance work for the Gazette from time to time. Mr. Perusse has also contributed to Rolling Stone magazine.
He currently counts himself as a proud member of the boomer granddads who never got over Sgt. Pepper’s.

Erik Leijon is a freelance music journalist based in Montreal. For over 15 years, Leijon has been a loud proponent of the local independent music scene in a variety of genres, a reviewer of shows from Casa del Popolo to the Bell Centre and an enthusiastic playlist compiler, including Cult MTL’s annual Top 30 Montreal Songs countdown. Bylines include the Montreal Gazette, Cult MTL, Complex, Vice, FYI Music News, Montreal Mirror and McGill News, along with the occasional radio and television appearance. He currently serves on the Polaris Music Prize jury (grand jury 2017) and has previously served on the Juno Awards jury (for Electronic Album of the Year and Rap Recording of the Year) and MVP Project.
