Starring Daniel Brochu
A Segal Centre production in association with Hudson Village Theatre
Hugs, the smell of old books, a hairdresser who listens to what you want
The colour yellow, roller coasters, ice cream — as a mother battles chronic depression, a child creates a list of every brilliant thing they can think of, to remind them what makes life worth living. As the child grows, so does the list. Looking back on a life of ups and downs, the man takes the audience on an inspiring journey that celebrates finding joy in the mundane and being grateful for the simple pleasures hiding all around us. At once intimate and interactive, this touching, funny, and uplifting performance chronicles life’s small joys and reveals the lengths to which we will go for those we love.

Producing a Show in a Pandemic
Navigating the theatre world during a global pandemic is full of ups and downs. While we may not have announced it previously, our collaboration with Hudson Village Theatre to do Every Brilliant Thing has been in the works since the early fall. Like you, we’ve been following the news closely to see when we would be able to put the show on safely for our patrons. We believe we have a responsibility to our artists, our employees, our funders, and our public to be ready to return to our practice and to sharing exquisite theatre – with new health and safety guidelines in place - as soon as possible.
So we invite you to look behind the curtain and follow us along on our journey in this new video series as we produce a show during a pandemic:
