Academy Refund and Cancellation Policy


TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Filling out the online form does NOT confirm a student’s registration. Within 2-3 business days, a representative from the Academy will contact you by email to confirm your child’s registration.  
  • At minimum, payment for the first session is due prior to the first class. 
  • Payment for the 2nd session is due the week of January 6th, 2025.
  • All courses have a minimum and maximum enrollment – should a course not meet the minimum enrollment, cancellation may be necessary.
  • If a student must cancel due to medical reasons, a physician’s note must be provided and a pro-rated refund or credit of equal value towards a future course at the Segal Academy will be applied. 
  • The Segal Academy reserves the right to change instructors without prior notice. 
  • The Segal Academy has a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct. Any student showing a lack of respect for staff and property, as well as fellow students or instructors, will be dismissed from the class permanently with no refund. 
  • Participants are expected to be on time. If a student arrives prior to 4:30pm, parents are aware that their child will be unsupervised and not granted entry into the building. The Segal
  • Academy is not responsible for lost or stolen property. 

 

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY FOR AFTER-SCHOOL COURSES

  • Cancellation in writing 3-4 four weeks prior to the first class – full refund
  • Cancellation in writing two weeks prior to the first class- refund minus $150 cancellation fee 
  • Cancellation in writing 1 week prior to the first class- refund minus $250 cancellation fee 
  • Cancellation in writing after 1-3 classes – Refund minus $350 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation after 3rd class or more- no refund.
  • Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. No refund will be issued for missed classes.
  • All NSF cheques are subject to a $25 administration fee.
  • New information regarding a lost or stolen credit card, a replacement card, insufficient funds, or an expiry date change should be provided to us.   
  • Taxes will be added if your child is 15 or over at the time of payment.
