During the Holocaust Education Series, Théâtre NU, Catherine Dajcman and the Segal Centre for Performing Arts are pleased to invite you to the Passages book launch, published by Édition du Marais., publié aux éditions du Marais. On this occasion, a short video clip of the PASSAGES-DVD will be presented, followedwith a talk-balk with author and comedian Catherine Dajczman, hosted by comedian Stéphane Crête.

PASSAGES tells the story of a young woman who, led by her thirst for meaning, revisits the history of her family. There she finds the universe of the Nazi camps where her Jewish-Polish grandfather lived and the story of her Québécoise grandmother who mothered 11 children. A journey of self-discovery, PASSAGES stems from the need to give a voice to those who have come before. Alone on stage, in a language where humour mixes with tragedy, Catherine Dajczman pays homage to an existence both sublime and atrocious.
Following the production of PASSAGES at Théâtre Espace Go in 2009, and its' sold out presentation at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts in Fall 2010, we are happy to host the PASSAGES book which also includes a DVD of the play.

The author and actress: Catherine Dajczman
Catherine Dajczman is a professional actor and percussionist. Artistic Director of Théâtre NU as well as practitioner and teacher in ritual work (trained at the HO Rites de Passages school). In her journey, she advocates an approach that emphasizes integrity; presence and the body. PASSAGES is her first text, which has garnered her with the Prix Coup de cœur Télé-Québec from the Festival Annuel d'Innovation Théâtrale (F.A.I.T) in 2008.
